DouMao AI is a product developed and operated by Shanghai DouMao Engine Technology Service Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "we"). We fully recognize the importance of personal information to you and will strictly comply with applicable laws and regulations, while adhering to industry best practices to protect the security of your personal information and privacy. To this end, we have formulated this "Privacy Policy" and specially remind you: please carefully read and understand this Privacy Policy before using DouMao and related services to make appropriate choices.

This Privacy Policy will help you understand how we collect, use, store, share and protect personal information; and how you can manage your personal information. This Policy is closely related to your use of our services, and we recommend that you read and understand all contents of this Policy carefully and make the choices you deem appropriate. Important clauses concerning your rights and interests in personal information have been highlighted in bold for your special attention.


1. How We Collect and Use Personal Information

We collect information that you actively provide when using our services, as well as information generated during your use of functions or receipt of services through automated means, in the following ways:


1.1 Registration and Login

1.1.1 When you register and log in to DouMao and related services, you may create an account and complete registration using your mobile phone number. Your mobile phone number is necessary to fulfill the real-name registration requirements for network services under national laws and regulations. If you do not provide a mobile phone number for registration and login, we may not be able to provide you with functions such as AI dialogue.

1.1.2 Based on our cooperation with telecommunications operators, when you use DouMao's "One-Click Login" function, with your consent, we will process your mobile phone number with the operator to facilitate the provision of quick login services for you. If you refuse such processing, you will not be able to use the "One-Click Login" method to register and log in to DouMao, but this will not affect your registration and login through other methods, nor will it affect the normal use of other functions.

1.1.3 You may log in to and use DouMao with a third-party account. With your consent, we will obtain public information registered by you on the third-party platform (profile picture, nickname, and other information authorized by you) to bind with your DouMao account, enabling you to directly log in and use this product and related services.

1.1.4 After completing registration and login, you may set and improve your account information (profile picture, nickname, etc.). You acknowledge and agree that your profile picture and nickname may be publicly displayed on this product.


1.2 Intelligent Dialogue

1.2.1 We provide dialogue and interactive services to you based on artificial intelligence model technology. You may send text, voice, images, files, key operation instructions, and other content to us through the dialogue box, and we automatically receive such information to provide dialogue services to you. For dialogue results, you may continue to input dialogue instructions, or perform operations such as rewriting, sharing, and favoriting.

1.2.2 When you actively take photos, or input images, voice, or upload files, we will separately request your authorization for camera, storage (photo album, media, and other files), and microphone permissions based on the type of information you input. If you refuse to authorize, you will not be able to take photos, input image and voice information, or upload files, but this will not affect your use of other functions of DouMao.

1.2.3 When you use the search service, we will automatically receive the information you actively input to provide real-time search results to you. Some of the search results may be related to your location, and to display such search results, we may also collect your geographic location information.

(1) Location-Based Search Services

When you ask us for information related to nearby locations (e.g., "What cafes are nearby?"), to respond to your inquiry (i.e., recommend nearby stores and/or service information to you), we may collect your precise geographic location. Such geographic location may include: precise geographic location information obtained through GPS sensors, WLAN access points, Bluetooth, base stations, and other sensor information.

We only collect your precise geographic location when you have a clear need to find nearby locations.

Precise geographic location information is sensitive personal information. If you refuse to provide it, we will not recommend information related to nearby locations to you based on geographic location obtained through GPS sensors, but this will not affect the normal use of other functions we provide. We will only display potentially relevant content or services to you based on district/county-level geographic location information obtained through network location information (such as base stations, IP addresses, and WLAN).

(2) Route Planning Services

When you request us to provide route planning services, we may collect your precise geographic location as mentioned above.

We only collect your precise geographic location when you have a clear need for route planning.

Precise geographic location information is sensitive personal information. If you refuse to provide it, we will not provide route planning services based on your location, but this will not affect the normal use of other functions we provide. We will only display potentially relevant content or services to you based on district/county-level geographic location information obtained through network location information (such as base stations, IP addresses, and WLAN).

1.2.4 You may also copy, favorite, add to knowledge base, and perform other operations on the content we output. We will collect your operation information to continuously improve the quality of our services.

1.2.5 If the chat information you input, information you submit, or other content contains personal information of others, you must obtain the legitimate authorization of others before providing such information to avoid improper disclosure of others' information.


1.3 Payment Services

You may order equipment of this product through the DouMao Mini Program/App Mall. During the process of placing paid orders, you may need to make payments. In the payment process, we may collect your third-party payment account information (WeChat account, etc., subject to the payment method you actually use) and order payment information.


1.4 User Feedback and Services

When you consult us, file a complaint, or raise an appeal, we may need you to provide personal information such as your mobile phone number to facilitate contact with you or help you solve problems. If you refuse to provide the above information, we may not be able to timely feed back relevant processing results to you.


1.5 Message Notifications

You acknowledge and agree that during our operation, we may send message notifications related to this product or the services you use to your terminal device. You may choose whether to receive notifications by setting the "Notification" permission on your terminal device. We may also send commercial information such as services, functions, or activities that may be of interest to you to the mobile phone numbers collected in the aforementioned process via SMS or phone calls. If you do not wish to receive such information, you may unsubscribe through the unsubscribe method provided in the SMS, or directly contact us through the contact information listed in this Policy to unsubscribe.


1.6 Operation and Security Operation/Guarantee

1.6.1 Operation and Security Guarantee

We are committed to providing you with a safe and reliable product and usage environment, and providing high-quality and reliable services and information is our core goal. To maintain the normal operation of our services and protect your legitimate rights and interests, as well as those of other users or the public, from losses, we will collect necessary information for maintaining the safe and stable operation of our products or services.

1.6.2 Device Information and Log Information


  1. To ensure the safe operation, operational quality, and efficiency of the software and services, we will collect your hardware model, operating system version number, device identifiers (AndroidID, OAID for Android; IDFV, IDFA for iOS; different identifiers vary in terms of validity period, whether resettable by users, and acquisition methods), network device hardware address (device MAC address), IP address, WLAN access points (such as SSID, BSSID), Bluetooth, base stations, software version number, network access method, type, status, network quality data, operation, usage, service logs, and device sensor data (such as acceleration sensors, gyroscope sensors).
  2. To prevent malicious programs and ensure operational quality and efficiency, we will collect information about running processes, overall operation and usage status and frequency of pages, page crash status, overall usage status, and performance data.

1.7 Changes in Purposes for Collecting and Using Personal Information

Please understand that with the development of our business, we may adjust and change the functions and services provided by DouMao. In principle, when new functions or services are related to the functions or services we currently provide, the personal information collected and used will have a direct or reasonable connection with the original processing purposes. In scenarios where there is no direct or reasonable connection with the original processing purposes, we will inform you separately of the collection and use of your personal information in accordance with the requirements of laws, regulations, and national standards through page prompts, interactive processes, agreement confirmation, and obtain your consent.


1.8 Exceptions to Obtaining Authorized Consent

Please understand that in the following circumstances, in accordance with laws, regulations, and relevant national standards, we may collect and use your personal information without prior authorization and consent from you:

  8. Necessary for maintaining the safe and stable operation of the software and related services, such as detecting and handling faults of the software and related services;
  9. Processing personal information that is voluntarily disclosed by individuals or otherwise legally disclosed within a reasonable scope in accordance with the provisions of the Personal Information Protection Law and other relevant laws and regulations;
  10. Other circumstances stipulated by laws and regulations.We specially remind you that if information cannot identify your personal identity alone or in combination with other information, it does not constitute your personal information in the legal sense. In accordance with legal provisions, we are not required to separately notify you or obtain your consent for its use, processing, sharing, transfer, or public disclosure; when your information can identify your personal identity alone or in combination with other information, or when we combine data that cannot be associated with any specific personal information with other personal information of yours, such information will be treated and protected as your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy during the combination and use period.

If an affiliated company intends to change the purposes of processing personal information, it will obtain your authorization and consent again.

  23. Ensuring Usage Security: We attach great importance to account, service, and content security. To protect the security of your account and property, as well as yours and our legitimate rights and interests from illegal infringement, our partners may use necessary device, account, and log information. To ensure the security of user accounts, when we identify that the mobile phone number used for logging into your account has a risk of secondary number release, we will provide your mobile phone number and account registration time to telecommunications operators for secondary number verification to protect the security of your account.
  24. Analyzing Product Performance: To analyze the usage and performance of our products, our partners may need to use information such as product usage status (crashes, flashbacks), device identification information, and overall installation and usage status of the application.

2.2 Transfer

We will not transfer your personal information to any company, organization, or individual except in the following circumstances:


  1. After obtaining your explicit consent, we will transfer your personal information to other parties;
  2. With the continuous development of our business, we may undergo mergers, acquisitions, or asset transfers, and your personal information may be transferred as a result. 3. How We Store Personal Information


3.1 Storage Location

In accordance with the provisions of laws and regulations, we store your personal information collected and generated during domestic operations within the territory of the People's Republic of China. Currently, we will not transmit the above information overseas. If we transmit it overseas, we will strictly comply with relevant Chinese laws, regulatory policies, and follow relevant national regulations or obtain your consent.


3.2 Storage Period

We are committed to making every effort to ensure the security of your personal information and will only retain your personal information for the period necessary to provide DouMao services, without retaining it beyond the necessary principle. For example:


  1. Mobile phone number: When you register and log in using your mobile phone number, we need to retain your mobile phone number continuously to provide you with normal services, respond to your possible inquiries and complaints, and ensure the security of your account and system.
  2. Information you input, feedback, and related information will be retained by us to provide you with continuous business functions during the period when you do not withdraw, delete, or cancel your account.If you cancel your account, actively delete personal information, or after the expiration of the necessary period, we will delete or anonymize your personal information, except in the following cases:
  3. Compliance with the requirements of laws and regulations on information retention.
  4. Reasonable extension of the period is required for financial, audit, dispute resolution, and other purposes.

4. How We Protect the Security of Personal Information

4.1 We attach great importance to the security of your personal information and will strive to take reasonable security measures (including technical and management aspects) to protect your personal information:

5. Exercising Your Rights to Personal Information

We attach great importance to your management of personal information and make every effort to protect your rights to access, copy, correct, supplement, delete, withdraw consent and authorization, cancel your account, file complaints and reports, and set privacy functions, so that you have the ability to protect your privacy and information security.


5.1 Changing or Withdrawing the Scope of Authorization

You may turn off microphone, photo album (storage), and Bluetooth permissions in the operating system of your device to change the scope of consent or withdraw your authorization.

Please understand that after you perform the above shutdown operations, we will no longer be able to provide you with services corresponding to the withdrawn consent or authorization, and we will no longer collect information related to these permissions, but this will not affect the processing of personal information carried out based on your authorization before.


5.2 Accessing, Copying, Correcting, and Supplementing Your Personal Information

You may access, copy, correct, supplement, or delete your personal information in the following ways:

5.3 Deleting Your Personal Information

You may request us to delete your personal information in the following circumstances:


  1. If our processing of personal information violates laws and regulations;
  2. If we collect and use your personal information without obtaining your consent;
  3. If our processing of personal information violates the agreement with you;
  4. If you no longer use our products and services, or you cancel your DouMao account;
  5. If we terminate services and operations.After receiving your deletion request, we will conduct follow-up processing in accordance with your requirements and relevant laws and regulations and feed back the results to you. We will also notify entities that have obtained your personal information from us to delete it in a timely manner, unless otherwise stipulated by laws and regulations, or such entities have obtained your independent authorization. After you or we assist you in deleting relevant information, due to applicable laws and security technologies, we may not be able to delete the corresponding information from the backup system immediately. We will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until the backup can be cleared or anonymized.

5.4 Canceling Your Account

You may apply to cancel your account in accordance with the guidelines of this product. Before canceling your account, we will verify your personal identity, security status, device information, etc. You acknowledge and understand that canceling your account is an irreversible act. After you cancel your account, we will stop providing any services to you and delete all information about your account or anonymize relevant information. If laws and regulations require the retention of personal information, we promise to store it separately and will not use such information in daily business activities.


5.5 Accessing the Privacy Policy

Regarding the Privacy Policy, you may access it in "My -- Settings -- Privacy Policy" of the DouMao Mini Program or DouMao App.


5.6 Ceasing Operations and Notifying You

If we cease operations, we will promptly stop collecting your personal information, notify you of the cessation of operations by means of individual delivery or announcement, and delete or anonymize the personal information we hold about you.


6. Protection of Minors' Information

We attach great importance to the protection of minors' personal information.

6.1 If you are a minor under the age of 18, before using this product and related services, you should read and agree to this Privacy Policy together under the supervision and guidance of your parents or other guardians.

6.2 If you are a minor under the age of 14 ("child"), before using DouMao and related services, you need to obtain the consent of your guardian.

6.3 If you are the guardian of a minor under the age of 14, before using DouMao and related services, you should read and agree to this Privacy Policy for your ward.

6.4 We protect minors' personal information in accordance with the provisions of relevant national laws and regulations and will only collect, use, or disclose minors' personal information when permitted by law, explicitly agreed by parents or other guardians, or necessary to protect minors; if we find that we have collected minors' personal information without first obtaining verifiable guardian consent, we will take measures to delete relevant information as soon as possible.
